Russia: paces of potato harvesting campaign to be high in Chuvashiya despite weather

According to data of the Ministry of agriculture as of September 19, 4.200 ha of potatoes areas were harvested in the agrarian organizations and big farms (34.3 % to the plan), 88.000 tonnes of potatoes were lifted (up 1.4 times compared to the same date of the previous year), the yield totaled 208.5 c/ha (183 c/ha in 2007). Harvesting of sugar-beet, vegetables, hop, purchases of fodder are in progress.

The agrarians of Chuvashuya plan to finish the harvesting of potatoes to October 1.
