Tajikistan harvested more than 40.000 tonnes of fruits and 18.000 tonnes of grape

Tajikistan harvested 40.800 tonnes of fruits and 18.000 tonnes of grape. Fruits harvest is forecasted at the level of 95.000 tonnes this year, reported Kazakstan Today.

As Narzullo Dadabayev, the head of the press-cutting service of the Ministry of agriculture of Tajikistan, informed, as of October 1, fruit-growing organizations and farms have already harvested 40.800 tonnes of fruits and more than 18.000 tonnes of grape, that is 43 % of the plan.

According to Dadabayev, this year harvest is up 27.000 tonnes of fruits and 1.500 tonnes of grape as compared to the same index of the last year.

According to the Ministry of agriculture, nearly 90 % of fruits and grapes are harvested in the small private farms. Therefore, the Ministry intends to coordinate and consult all the farms on issues concerning improvement of the methods and ways of growing of fruits, grape and other agricultural products in order to increase the productivity.
