Moldova: most part of harvest to stay in the fields

This year a bumper harvest of grapes is expected in Moldova, but the most part of harvest will stay in the fields. The villagers protest against low purchasing prices for grapes that total only 0.14 euro/kg, some varieties remain unclaimed.

The vine-producers purchase grapes from population for processing at low prices and the main sum for produce will be paid after the sales of wine in the next year. Agrarian workers lose their profits and there is no an alternative than to leave the harvest on the fields as a sign of protest against the wine-makers.
