Russia: President signed technical regulations for juice produce

Dmitriy Medvedev, the President of the Russian Federation, signed a federal act “Technical regulations for juice produce from fruits and vegetables” that was passed by State Duma on October 2008 and approved by the Federation Council on October 15, reported the press-cutting service of the Kremlin.

The federal act determines obligatory requirements for juice produce from fruits and vegetables on the territory of the Russian Federation, including imported produce, and requirements for processes of production, handling, storing and transportation of juice produce.

Besides, the foregoing act determines requirements for food ingredients, additions and raw material, used in juice production; for safety and food value, destined for children’s food; for juice produce marking; for water-supply during the production processes; for manufacturing facilities, equipment and inventory during the production of juices; for state registration of juices and state control concerning juice production.

This act will come into force at the end of 180 days after its official publication, reported RosFinCom.
