Ukraine: sales of Polish apples to reduce

Wholesale companies in Poland observed sharp decrease of demand for apples from Ukrainian purchasers. As wholesalers reported, this situation was caused by rapid increase of euro exchange course on the domestic currency market. As a result, sharp rise in prices for imported apples was fixed on the Ukrainian market.

According to the information provided by the specialists of Fruit-Inform project, at the moment, many wholesale companies started purchasing domestic apples. Most of them plan to continue purchasing imported produce only from December, when imports duty for apple would be cancelled.

You can get the detailed information about main prospects for apple market in Ukraine and Russia during the largest conferences in the CIS: the Third International Conference "Fruit & Vegetable Business of Russia - 2008" and the Fifth International Conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2008".
