Ukraine will continue grain export talks with Egypt
Ukraine will continue negotiations with Egypt about exports of grain to this country and will put out its own proposals concerning the terms of such exports, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture Ivan Kyrylenko told reporters on January 24.
No actual date of would-be negotiations has been disclosed though.
Kyrylenko said that at the previous round of talks Ukraine had been dissatisfied about the price for the grain, proposed by Egyptian party - i.e. $80 per tonne of milling wheat.
"We propose to buy Ukrainian grain at its market value, not the fixed price," he said.
He reminded that Egypt had earlier suggested that Ukraine buy Egyptian goods for the value, equivalent to that of the grain sold.
