EBRD will provide $15 mln loan to Nidera company to develop agribusiness in Ukraine and Russia

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has taken a decision to provide a $15 million credit to Ukrainian and Russian subsidiaries of Nidera Handelscompagnie B.V. for development of grain trading business in Ukraine and Russia.

The bank's web-site posted information that the funds of the credit were aimed at expansion of grain and sunflower seed trading operations of the company.

Nidera Handelscompagnie B.V. specialises in trade of grain and other agricultural products. The company is represented in more than 30 countries and its average yearly sales volumes exceed 17 million tonnes of grain or $3.2 billion.

EBRD has already approved 176 investment projects in farm sector for the total value of more than 3 billion euros, of which 1 billion euros are for projects in Ukraine and Russia.
