Ukraine: fresh fruit and vegetable produce to be sold in Kiev

As participants of fruit and vegetable market of Kiev reported, sale of early fruits and vegetables had begun on Kiev markets. As of May, 6 trade enterprises purchased 1492 tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetable produce, including 60 tonnes of potatoes, 250 tonnes of cabbage, 360 tonnes of cucumbers, 342 tonnes of tomatoes, 158 tonnes of spring onion, 224 tonnes of radish and 28 tonnes of berries. According to official information, government of Kiev plans to purchase 155800 tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetable produce, including 22900 tonnes of potatoes, 91200 tonnes of vegetables, 19800 tonnes of fruits and berries, 21900 tonnes of melons and gourds. Besides, 23600 tonnes of fruits and vegetables will be purchased to the winter storages.
