Import of beer to Ukraine in March increased 118.9 percent on a month

According to web-site of Ukrainian brewing association, import of beer in March increased from February by 118.9 percent or 844,980 litres - up to 1.555 million litres for the total sum of $441,000. However, it decreased from March 2002 by 12.9 percent or 231,380 litres. Since January to March 2003 the import of beer decreased from the corresponding period last year by 3.1 percent, or 95,070 litres, and constituted 3.003 million litres for the total value of $820,000.

As the month before, in March beer was imported predominantly from Russia (93.6 percent of the total volume).
