Ukraine banned poultry imports from Germany because of bird flu
State veterinary service of Ukraine has banned imports of live poultry and products and raw materials produced from it from Federative Republic of Germany. According to the letter of the veterinary service to heads of regional customs offices of May 16, 2003, the decision has been taken because of the official report of International Epizootic Bureau about cases of high-pathogenic bird flu, registered in this country.
The veterinary service in March banned imports of live poultry, poultry products and raw materials from the Kingdom of Netherlands, because of cases of high-pathogenic bird flu, registered there.
