Russian government to prevent meat smuggles from CIS
Russian government will develop measures to prevent re-exports and smuggles of meat to Russia from CIS countries, Russian Vice-Prime Minister, the Minister of Agriculture Aleksey Gordeyev has told journalists, Interfax news agency informed.
He said this issue had been discussed at the government's sitting May 28.
"According to State Customs Committee, today there is not any increase of deliveries from Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, and this is the main indicator", Gordeyev said.
"But we are developing relevant measures to prevent smuggles and abuses, as our borderlines (with CIS neighbours) are very conventional", Gordeyev said and added that he was especially worried by "Belarusian colleagues".
