Moldova set import duty on sugar

Moldovan government on July 11 approved a bill about introduction of protective duty in the imports of sugar. According to the bill, the duty will be started since August 1 this year in the amount of 40 percent of customs value of the imported commodity. The bill will be in effect within 200 days.

According to the same bill, the government is within 120 days to analyse the situation in this sector of economy and to submit to parliament a new bill, prolonging effect of the duty for three years.
