President signed law regulating purchases of agricultural products

President Leonid Kuchma has signed the Law "About Amendments into Article 6 of the Law "About Purchases of Goods, Works and Services for State-Owned Means". According to the new version of this article, if the subject of the purchase is agricultural products or domestically produced foodstuffs, only Ukrainian agricultural producers or food processing enterprises are allowed to take part in the tenders.
