Frozen cherry and blackberry are in short supply for Russian processors.

According to information of analysts from "Fruit-Inform" who are in progress of their work on “Processor” service package specially designed for processing enterprises, due to hard weather conditions in Russia and Poland in 2010, frozen cherry and blackberry are currently in great demand from processors. Generally, it should be noted that demand for frozen berries, fruit and vegetables significantly increased this year, and prices have a tendency to grow.

Among other categories, good demand is demonstrated for frozen peas and corn with their this year productivity to be lower than expected in many European countries. As a result, experts of "Fruit-Inform" predict that several producers of canned vegetables may face problems with performance of supply contracts of these products, so prices for them will keep on growing.

It should be also noted that demand for frozen raspberry is for the moment rather moderate, while demand for frozen blueberry, bilberry and plums is appraised to be good.
