Ukrainians intensify kiwifruit consumption
According to analysts of Fruit-Inform, Ukrainian consumers again paid their attention to kiwifruits, interest to which dropped during crisis years. Within the first half of 2010, Ukraine was supplied with 4% more kiwifruits than in the same period of the last year.
It should be noted that three leading countries-suppliers of kiwifruits include Italy, Greece, and Chile. Chilean suppliers were back to the third place in rating, having again left Iran behind. Considerably smaller volumes are supplied to Ukraine from France, New Zealand, Poland, Australia, Spain, and Turkey.
We would remind you that importers of fruits and supermarket chains are able to get directly acquainted with suppliers of Chilean fruits in the next week, in course of exhibition “WorldFood Ukraine-2010” that is to take place at International Exhibition Center, on October 26-29.
Chilean Fresh Fruit Association will take part in this event, and specialists of Fruit-Inform will help organize meeting with suppliers.
