The First International Conference “Apple Business of Ukraine-2011”, Stolichnyi Wholesale Market, Kyiv, Ukraine, August 11-12, 2011
Ukraine currently attracts leading European apple producers' great attention thanks to its being in swift conversion from major importer of this fruit into major exporter.
Just in one season of 2010/11 Ukraine reduced apple imports more than two times! And till March Ukraine was importing practically no apples while actively exporting them to the Russian and Belarusian markets. According to the results of the year 2010, Ukraine entered the group of four major apple suppliers to Russia and left behind such big European apple suppliers as the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, France, Serbia, Belgium etc. In general, Ukraine's apple exports increased 20 times over just past 3 years! Moreover, a number of businessmen interested in establishment of intensive apple orchards in Ukraine is only increasing.
Taking into consideration the high interest to apple business, in 2010 Fruit-Inform Project conducted the first fundamental study of the Ukrainian apple market containing detailed information about the situation in the market and forecasts of its development.
We invite all representatives of apple business and those who only plan to go into it to gather at new Stolichnyi Wholesale Market (the largest wholesale market in Europe) on August 11-12, 2011, and discuss prospects of development of this business, assess novelties in growing, storage, sorting, packing technologies and marketing of apples. We expect the representatives of Russia's apple business to take part in this event too as well as technology suppliers from Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and other countries.
The conference will be attended by more than 150 apple business specialists from 8-10 countries of the world. More detailed information about the conference, program, conditions of participation and application form will be soon available on www.fruit-inform.com
Preliminary applications should be sent to [email protected].
