"Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine" becomes traditional!
The second international conference-exhibition "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2005" finished on the 7th of December 2005 in the National Complex Expocenter of Ukraine. The organizers of the event, editors' office of "Agrooglyad: Fruits and Vegetables" journal are still receiving letters and phone calls from the grateful participants of the event. The analysis of the results of the conference-exhibition took time, as the event turned out to be much more popular than expected.
According to the information provided by organizers, more than 400 people from 16 countries registered for participation in the event; about 350 produce business professionals representing 222 companies have finally participated in the conference-exhibition. Fifty five companies introduced their products and services on the exhibition; as to a conservative estimate, up to three thousand representatives of produce business from various world countries visited the exhibition.
Naturally, the majority of the conference and exhibition participants represented Ukraine, but the number of EU representatives increased much comparing to the previous year. For example, fifteen Polish market players participated in the conference, and only eight people came from Russia. The representatives of Netherlands, Moldova, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Georgia, USA and Hungary took an active part in the event.
Many companies gave up an idea to exhibit their products; they plainly regretted about this decision later. The exhibition was visited mainly by target audience: the best and most successful producers, a great number of wholesale companies and supermarket chains, the representatives of many processing enterprises and input suppliers. Many companies - participants of the exhibition and conference have already reported abut new profitable contracts made during the conference. Some Ukrainian companies managed to find new buyers not only in our country, but abroad too, in Russia in particular.
The exhibition was held for the first time; practically no advertisement was provided. Still, the event can be considered as successful. Nearly all companies-participants of the exhibition 2005 have already confirmed their desire to participate in the event next year; some new companies showed their interest to exhibit products too. The preliminary estimations show that in 2006 the exposition of the exhibition "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2006" will grow at least 3-4 times; the exhibition will be held jointly with the conference again. Not less than 180-200 companies working in the produce business of Ukraine will exhibit their products and services; the organizers are focused on creation of the hugest international produce exhibition in the region.
So, we can state now that it was a great idea to conduct international produce conference together with the exhibition in the end of year; it met a generous response among the representatives of the produce business of Ukraine. Besides, the conference-exhibition "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine" has become traditional.
