How much will cabbage price and production change in 2006 in Ukraine?
"Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits", the produce business journal of Ukraine jointly with the Agricultural Marketing Project starts today the survey of the cabbage market perspectives in 2006. Along with white cabbage, other cabbage varieties are included into survey because of their rapidly increased popularity. In particular, the perspectives of production reduction/increase for Pekinese, cauliflower, broccoli cabbage and Brussels sprouts will be considered.
The survey results with the prognosed prices and production will be published in February issues of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly. The readers will find there the information about production technologies, post harvest handling and marketing practices for this popular crop. The weekly's analysts intend to define the most popular varieties and hybrids of white cabbage, as well as a top list of companies-suppliers of cabbage seeds for the different regions of Ukraine. The rating will be based on the assessments of the professional producers.
