Poltava office of the Agricultural Marketing Project will conduct a Field day on cucumber production on July 18th

On the 18th of July Poltava office of the Agricultural Marketing Project will conduct Field day on the basis of KONDRATYUK farm, village Keybalovka, Pyryatyn rayon. The main topic of this Field day will be cucumber production for processing. Everybody interested will have an opportunity to see new cucumber hybrids from such leading seed companies as Nickerson-Zwaan, Nunhems, Rijk Zwaan, Clause, CROCUS private enterprise. The participants will also have a look at a rather new technology for the region: cucumber production on trellis with utilization of drip irrigation. Traditional method of cucumber production, about one hectare of horizontal cucumber plantings, is also included to the program. The event starts at 10:00. Theoretical part will be conducted on field too; the questions of cucumber growth and crop tending will be covered for cucumber plantings produced from seeds of various seed companies. The participants will taste products of Pyryatyn processing enterprise after the presentations.
