Russia: Imports & Exports of Fruits and Vegetables, May 2013
According to the official statistics, in May 2013, in comparison with the same month of the previous year:
- potato imports decreased by 16%;
- seed potato imports grew 1.4 times;
- tomato imports fell by 8%;
- cucumber imports were 23% lower;
- bell pepper imports increased by 1%;
- onion imports went up 2.1 times;
- cabbage imports decreased by 18%;
- carrot imports rose by 20%;
- red beet imports were 2.8 times higher;
- lettuce imports grew by 11%;
- zucchini imports went up by 8%;
- aubergine imports decreased by 11%;
- apple imports increased by 6%;
- pear and quince imports were 19% lower;
- apricot imports rose by 50%;
- peach imports grew by 36%;
- sour and sweet cherry imports went down by 1%;
- plum imports increased by 5%;
- grape imports grew by 44%;
- strawberry imports went up by 1%;
- raspberry imports rose by 38%;
- banana imports decreased by 1%;
- orange imports fell by 4%;
- mandarin imports grew by 21%;
- lemon imports increased by 50%;
- grapefruit imports went up by 25%;
- kiwifruit imports decreased by 12%.
