A unique opportunity for retail chains of the Eastern Europe to find direct suppliers of vegetables and fruits
The Project “Fruit-Inform” is constantly contacted by supermarket chains and wholesale companies with requests of help in search of direct suppliers of fruits and vegetables. A unique opportunity to communicate with all leading suppliers of fruit and vegetable produce will be available for all interested persons already in two weeks, when the seventh international conference “Vegetables and Fruit of Ukraine-2010” will take place in Kiev, Ukraine, on December 1-2, 2010.
Traditionally, 150-200 leading producers of fruits, vegetables and potatoes of Ukraine will participate in this event. Please, note that participants of the conference are as a rule the most technologically developed companies either already disposing of storage, post harvest handling and packing of produce, or planning to develop them.
For example, in 2010, among gardeners-participants that have already finally confirmed their participation, 40% dispose of up-to-date apple storage chambers, and other 40% plan to put them in operation in the following year. A half of participants dispose of sorting lines for grading of apples that enables them to supply produce of required quality to any chain. At the same time, only 25% of apples produced by these companies are currently supplied to domestic chains, other part of produce is sold to wholesalers or exported. The same situation is observed also concerning suppliers of other fruits and vegetables.
So organizers of the conference offer all supermarket chains and large wholesale companies to take active part in work of the international trade forum “Fruit and vegetable retail”. Meetings between major producers and representatives of leading companies-purchasers will be conducted during this forum.
