Kazakhstan might harvest 14 mln t of grain

Kazakhstan may harvest 14 million tonnes of grain this year, the country's Vice-Prime-Minister for Agriculture Akhmejan Yesimov told reporters September 8, web-server Gazeta.kz informs. However, the Vice Prime Minister said, an extremely hot weather which is now experienced by the main grain-growing regions may lead to correction of the crop figures, though it improves the quality of grain.

In the beginning of this year, the agriculture ministry forecasted grain crop to constitute at least 12.5 million tonnes in clean weight. Last year the crop was 15.9 million tonnes of grain in clean weight.
