A meeting of Ukrainian, Russian and European berry market experts took place in Lviv
Last Thursday, May 19, the Second International Conference-Exhibition “Berries of Ukraine-2011: Freezing and Fresh Market” has traditionally taken place at Shuvar, the largest wholesale market in Ukraine. About 150 companies from 19 countries of the world took part in work of the event. The conference was organized by Fruit-Inform Project, and its general sponsor was Raytec Vision Spa, Italian supplier of equipment for optical sorting of berries. The conference agenda included presentations of leading specialists of Ukrainian, Russian and European berry markets; the experts shared their experience in this area of business; and the conference participants received a lot of information on technological novelties in berry production and shock freezing. The conference passed in an atmosphere of active discussion on subjects connected with the most promising vectors of production and processing of fresh berries under conditions of Ukrainian and Russian markets. Much attention was drawn also to marketing of fresh and frozen berries.
