Russia imports potatoes even from Afghanistan
According to Fruit-Inform Project, every month Russia sets new records in potato imports. Moreover, this season's import geography is much broader than usual. In particular, besides the Netherlands as a traditional supplier, Russia imported potatoes in large volumes from Pakistan, Germany, Iran, Ireland, and even Afghanistan!
Saudi Arabia, Finland, Moldova, Canada, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, and the United Kingdom were among major suppliers too.
