Early onions, cabbage and beets are already cheaper in Ukraine than last year

According to Fruit-Inform Project's price monitoring, current wholesale prices for early onions are averagely 10-15% lower in Ukraine than last year. Experts think that prices could have decreased even more significantly, if not rainy and cool weather over last weeks.

The same situation is observed for early beets and cabbage. Wholesale prices for cabbage are already 20-25% lower than relatively low prices last year.

Further decrease in average wholesale prices for onions, stabilization in prices for cabbage and ongoing price decrease trend for beets and carrots are expected in Ukraine in the nearest time.

In such a way, Fruit-Inform Project corroborates its forecast of multiple decrease in prices for major traditional vegetables in Ukraine in the season 2011/12.
