Blueberry prices increased 2 times in Ukraine in 2011

Fresh blueberry prices are currently 2 times higher in Ukraine than last year. Procurement centers started purchase of berries at UAH 18-20/kg (EUR 1.61-1.79/kg) in early July. As of July 11th, procurement prices increased to UAH 25/kg (EUR 2.23/kg). And as of July 12th, there are practically no offers lower than UAH 27/kg (EUR 2.41/kg) in the market; in some cases, blueberries are offered at UAH 30/kg (EUR 2.68/kg).
