Fruit-Inform Project's forecast of sharp reduction of vegetable and potato prices in Ukraine is corroborated
Fruit-Inform Project notes that vegetable and potato prices in Ukraine are currently fixed fully according to its May forecast which is the part of the fundamental study “Fruit and Vegetable Market of Ukraine-2011: Results and Forecasts for the Next Season”.
For the moment, the prices for the most part of traditional borsch vegetables (onions, white cabbages, red beets, carrots) and potatoes are already 20-30% lower than last year. Moreover, the price dynamics currently remain negative. Furthermore, cardinal reduction of prices is expected after the start of harvesting of late vegetables and potatoes in September-October of this year. This is the reason why it is vitally necessary for Ukrainian suppliers to seek reliable target markets for their products.
Fruit-Inform Project invite all producers, wholesalers and exporters from Europe, the CIS and other parts of the world to meet with Russia's purchasers of fruits and vegetables during the Fourth International Conference “Fruit & Vegetable Business of Russia” which will take place in conjunction with World Food Moscow, on September 14, 2011. Registration of the conference participants is in progress.
