Sharp decrease of Russia's white cabbage imports

According to Fruit-Inform Project, the new marketing season in the Russian fresh produce market was characterized by sharp decrease in import volumes of traditional vegetables thanks to significant expansion of their domestic production.

In particular, due to start of harvesting of domestic white cabbages, imports of this produce sharply decreased in June and July after 2-fold increase in the second half of last season (in comparison with the same period of the season 2009/10). White cabbage imports in June and July were the lowest in recent years, and domestic white cabbages were competitive in price even with produce from China.
