Russia increases juice imports

According to Fruit-Inform Project, Russia increased juice imports by 3.7% in the first half of 2011. However, import volumes are as before almost a third lower than pre-crisis levels in 2007-2008.

China, the Netherlands, Ukraine and Israel were the major suppliers of juices to the Russian Federation with the aggregate share of 72% in Russia's total juice imports.

According to experts' estimates, the volume of Russia's market for juices and nectars amounted to 2.8-3 bil. liters with its value being about $4.4 bil.

We would remind you that Russian juice importers and manufacturers are expected to visit Fresh Produce Ukraine 2011 Fair which will take place at IEC (the most up-to-date exhibition center of Ukraine in Kiev), from November 30 to December 2, 2011. The fair will also be a place for the Eighth International Conference “Fruits & Vegetables of Ukraine – 2011. New Exporter”.
