Kazakhstan is at danger of excessive grain export - VPM for agriculture
Web-server Gazeta.kz has cited the country's Vice Prime Ministry for Agriculture Akhmejan Yesimov who said at the sitting of government today that "the situation which has been shaped in Kazakhstan's grain market is a complicated one. A dangerous trend of excessive grain export has arisen".
According to Yesimov such state of affairs has been a result of "crop failures in the main grain-growing regions of Europe, and also in Ukraine and Russia", which caused a rush demand for Kazakhstan's grain.
The official said that "the government is taking specific measures to keep the situation under control and to protect the country's food security". In particular, "the state endeavours to refill its grain resources, in order to provide stability, meet the country's demand in grain and not to allow for sharp leaps of bread prices", said the Vice-Prime Minister.
