Ukrainians' fruit & vegetable basket stops falling in price

According to Fruit-Inform's fruit & vegetable index, the cost of Ukrainians' fruit & vegetable basket did not change last week notwithstanding both growth and fall of prices for some products.

“Troubles faced by producers of potatoes and onions which kept on decreasing in price last week enabled to compensate growth of cucumber and grape prices”, Tetiana Getman, Head of Fruit-Inform, says. “Next week, tomatoes will most likely sharply increase in price in connection with the end of the field-grown tomato season”, the expert continues.

More information about the current situation in the Russian and Ukrainian fresh produce markets is available for subscribers of Fruit-Inform Weekly.
