Demand for storage more than 50% covered in Ukraine

According to Fruit-Inform, a period of sharp price fluctuations has already passed in the Ukrainian fruit and vegetable market. In the past 2 years, Ukraine experienced a boom in construction of fruit, vegetable and potato storage facilities. As a result, as of today, the Ukrainian farmers' demand for potato storage is 60% satisfied, for vegetable storage – 40% satisfied, and for fruit storage – 80% satisfied. For comparison, as of the year 2008, the demand for potato storage was only 7% covered, for vegetable storage – 10% covered, and for fruit storage – 21% covered.
