Should Ukrainian and Russian farmers count on rise in carrot prices?
The carrot price range can sharply grow in Ukraine and Russia in the second half of the season. Such an opinion is held by many producers from these countries due to problems with the quality of their produce. In this season, carrots are stored worse than other traditional vegetables. Farmers reported that they had already predicted problems with carrot storage in autumn: due to pouring rains in Ukraine and Russia, harvesting period was longer than planned, and produce was stored having high moisture content. In connection with this, many producers plan to sell carrots from unequipped storage as soon as possible and are ready to make price concessions. Otherwise, farmers do not exclude that they will have to throw out rotten carrots in the end of winter.Only several groups of users can see full text of this article:
