Sugar beet harvest in Belarus nearing completion
According to BelTA news agency there are 900 hectares of sugar beet at the farms of Minsk Region left to be harvested to be harvested till the moment.
A top official in agriculture ministry has said the farms already collected 1.8 million tonnes of sugar beet roots at the average yield of 27.07 tonnes per hectare, which is by 0.5 tonne per hectare higher than last year. 1.6 million tonnes of beet have been carried out from fields, the official said.
