Kuchma signed law about preferential grain imports
Ukraine's president Leonid Kuchma has signed the law, exempting till January 1, 2004 grain import operations from taxation and prolonging the effect of zero import duty for imported grains from December 31, 2004 (as per the current legislation) till July 1, 2004, the presidential press-service has informed.
The law also exempts from value added tax since January 1, 2004 sales operation with the grain of milling wheat and its constituents in the produced flour, groats and baked products.
The law enters into force since the day of publishing and will stay in effect till July 1, 2004, Interfax-Ukraine news agency informed.
The law about changes into some laws of Ukraine on taxation of grain crops was passed by Ukrainian parliament on October 23 this year.
