Moldova asks Russia for more humanitarian supplies of milling wheat
Moldova has applied to Russia with a request that Russia render additional humanitarian assistance to the country and make more supplies of milling wheat at discount prices. According to agency Interlink, this was said by Russian Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Agriculture Aleksey Gordeyev, following his meeting with Moldova's First Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Jovv December 19.
Gordeyev reminded that Russia had already completed humanitarian supplies of wheat to Moldova, which had suffered from the severest in the last 50 years drought. In the course of this humanitarian assistance Russia supplied to Moldova 10,000 tonnes of grain. Moldova has currently requested to supply another 50,000 to 60,000 tonnes of grain.
