Russian gvt may set limitations on export of flour and will prevent from export of intervention grain

According to Russian Vice-Prime Minister, the Minister of Agriculture Aleksey Gordeyev, Russian government may introduce limitation measures against exports of flour, AK&M agency has reported.

Gordeyev said that the situation with exports of flour aroused serious concern and was going to be closely studied. The introduction measures will be introduced, if found necessary.

He reminded that since January 15 the limiting measures had already been introduced on exports of grain, as the plan of grain export in the amount of 5 million tonnes had by then been fulfilled and continuation of grain exports might have resulted in destabilisation of price situation in the local market.

Gordeyev said that despite this the situation in the grain market also required extra investigation. He finds important making sure that the grain from the intervention fund, which will start arriving on the market since February 18, should not get to external markets and not become a subject of export.
