State Land Committee: Ukraine's government will sudy the issue of land usage in Crimea

The Cabinet of Ministers (CM) plans to study the issue of land using in the Crimea Republic, inter alia on the Southern Coast, said the chairman of the State Land Committee (Goscomzem) Anatoliy Danilenko.

At the press conference in Simferopol on March 12 he said that CM would examine the results of the work of the commission, headed by National Security Council secretary Vladimir Radchenko, that have been working in the Crimea since the beginning of this year. The ways of the most effective land using there, and first of all on the Southern Coast, will be determined after that.

A. Danilenko said that the Southern Coast of the Crimea would have to be one of the international resorts. Thus, the President's of Ukraine requirements made Goscomzem to strength the control over the abidance by the current legislation in this sphere.

According to the experts, if the complete inventory of the Southern Coast lands and their cost estimation take place, if the lands are divided between state and municipal properties, if borders between localities are delimited, and if the appropriate changes are altered both the Land Code of Ukraine and the Law on self-governing, "the cost of this problem accounts more than 4 billion hryvnias."
