Russia: 618,300 t of grain sold in 12 days of grain interventions

According to the press-centre of Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange, on March 16 the number of accredited participants of exchange tenders at the state commodity interventions on the grain market increased from 215 to 232 milling and groat producing enterprises from all the seven federal districts. Ninety-five organisations from four geographical zones - "North-West", "Centre", "South-1" and "South-2" - were allowed to participate in tenders.

There were tendered 29,800 tonnes of grain, including 19,800 tonnes of 3 class wheat, 3,300 tonnes of 4 class wheat and 6,700 tonnes of milling rye (Group A). The exchange tenders participants signed 15 contracts, grain accumulating amount of which was 16,250 tonnes. Accumulating volume of purchased 3 class wheat was 6,500 tonnes at average price 4424 RUR/t, 3,300 tonnes of 4 class wheat at 3674 RUR/t and 6,450 tonnes of milling rye at 2610 RUR/t.

Thus, during twelve days of exchange tenders there were sold 618,300 tonnes of grain from State Reserve of Russian Federation, including 182,000 tonnes of 3 class wheat, 349,000 tonnes of 4 class wheat and 87,300 tonnes of milling rye.
