Russia: 640,600 t of grain sold in 13 days of grain interventions
According to the press-centre of Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange, on March 17 the number of accredited participants of exchange tenders at the state commodity interventions on the grain market increased from 232 to 236 milling and groat producing enterprises from all the seven federal districts. Ninety-five organisations from four geographical zones - "Centre", "South-1", "South-2", "Ural", "Siberia-1" and "Far East" - were allowed to participate in tenders.
There were tendered 31,500 tonnes of grain, including 16,700 tonnes of 3 class wheat, 6,000 tonnes of 4 class wheat and 8,800 tonnes of milling rye (Group A). The exchange tenders participants signed 21 contracts, grain accumulating amount of which was 22,300 tonnes. Accumulating volume of purchased 3 class wheat was 13,300 tonnes at average price 4582 RUR/t, 6,000 tonnes of 4 class wheat at 3588 RUR/t and 3,000 tonnes of milling rye at 2655 RUR/t.
Thus, during twelve days of exchange tenders there were sold 640,600 tonnes of grains from State Reserve of Russian Federation, including 195,300 tonnes of 3 class wheat, 355,000 tonnes of 4 class wheat and 90,300 tonnes of milling rye.
