Sharp increase in pear prices on Ukrainian wholesale markets
Average prices of pears have grown by 25% in Ukraine this week.
According to Fruit-Inform, pear prices currently vary between UAH 7.50-17.00/kg (EUR 0.72-1.64/kg), depending on region and variety. Last week, pears were sold at UAH 6.00-14.00/kg (EUR 0.58-1.35/kg). The market experts think that the price growth is connected with the start of supplies of late varieties and rather high demand for pears in the market.
