Ukraine recommences apple exports to Hungary
In the season 2011/12, Ukraine exported apples to Hungary for the first time in the past 4 seasons. Exports were registered in the period from September to November 2011 with the total volume reaching 820 tonnes.
According to Fruit-Inform, Hungary imported apples for processing into apple juice concentrate. Before the season 2011/12, Ukraine exported apples to Hungary only in the season 2007/08 with export volumes exceeding 9,500 tonnes. In that season, Ukraine also exported mainly apples for processing.
