Higher prices of apples for processing in Ukraine last week

Last week prices of apples for processing grew in Ukraine. Prices increased to UAH 0.85-0.95/kg (EUR 0.08-0.09/kg) that was almost 6% higher week-on-week.

The main reason for the price growth was processing enterprises' high demand for apples that created competition during purchasing necessary volumes of raw produce against a background of a gradual decrease in the supply. It should be noted that prices of apples for processing are still averagely 16% lower year-on-year in Ukraine that is connected with higher apple production in the country this year.
