Slight decrease in fruit and vegetable prices in Ukraine
Fruit-Inform's fresh produce price index shows a slight decrease of 0.6% in fruit and vegetable prices in Ukraine last week.
“Last week prices of greenhouse vegetables grew again. Nevertheless, an ongoing decrease in prices of traditional vegetables and potatoes together with slight reduction of fruit prices managed to compensate that”, said Ms Tetiana Getman, Head of Fruit-Inform. “It should also be noted that current prices of all traditional vegetables (except white cabbages) are already lower year-on-year”.
Last week bananas and mandarins became less expensive in the country, while apple prices did not change despite exporters' significant pressure.
