Higher apple exports in Ukraine

In September 2012, Ukraine exported 4,090 tonnes of apples that was almost 9% higher year-on-year.

According to State Statistics Service of Ukraine, exports to Russia grew by 11% year-on-year and amounted to 3,600 tonnes. In such a way, the Russian Federation took a share of 88% in Ukraine's total apple exports in September and was followed by Austria and Belarus with the shares of 11.8% and 0.2%, respectively.

Nevertheless, it should be noted that in the first three months of the current season (July-September) Ukraine exported only 6,070 tonnes of apples that was 11.3% lower year-on-year.
