Russia increases production of apple juice
According to Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation, in September 2012, Russian processors produced 120.5 mln standard cans of apple juice that was 38% higher year-on-year.
Fruit-Inform specialists connect higher production with the abundant supply of apples for processing at relatively low prices in the country. For comparison, in September 2012 apples for processing were offered at 0.09-0.12 euro/kg, while a year earlier prices had varied between 0.12-0.14 euro/kg.
