Polish pears win popularity in Ukrainian market
Poland has been actively increasing pear exports to Ukraine in the past few years. The same trend will be active in the season 2012/13: in July-September this year, Poland has already quadrupled pear exports to Ukraine compared with the same period of 2011.
According to State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the country imported 605 tonnes of Polish pears in the previous season that was at least 3 times higher year-on-year. It should also be noted that Poland's main export volumes to Ukraine are usually registered from November to February.
