Record high Idared apple production expected in EU
According to WAPA (World Apple & Pear Association) data, Idared apple production is expected to be the highest over the past decade in the EU.
In such a way, in the season 2012/13, production of this variety will reach 912,000 tonnes that is 41% higher compared with the previous season.
It should also be noted that the previous record high production of Idared variety in the EU was registered in the season 2003/04 when farmers managed to pick 825,000 tonnes of these apples.
