Ukraine: Golden Delicious, Reinette Simirenko and Idared apples in the highest demand
According to Ukrainian growers, the demand for apples keeps on decreasing in Ukraine. Nevertheless, in view of higher storage costs and a seasonal decrease in stocks, the majority of them do not plan to reduce prices and still fix them at UAH 4.50-7.50/kg (EUR 0.43-0.72/kg).
Apples are purchased mainly by supermarket chains with Golden Delicious, Reinette Simirenko and Idared varieties being currently in the highest demand in the market.
