Uzbekistan leads in raisin exports to Kazakhstan
According to the official statistical data, Uzbekistan has been leading in raisin exports to Kazakhstan for the fourth season in a row. In this season, the share of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan's total raisin imports amounted to 80%. Uzbekistan is followed by Tajikistan and Iran.
Uzbekistan's cumulative exports of raisins to Kazakhstan in the first 7 months of the season 2012/13 reached 3,400 tonnes, a decrease of 28% year-on-year. For comparison, in July-January of the season 2011/12, Kazakhstan imported record high 4,800 tonnes of Uzbek raisins.
